8th European Altair Technology Conference Update

8th European ATC will be relocated to Cité de la Musique in La Villette, Paris, due to a fire in Cité des Sciences TROY, Mich., September 14, 2015 – Altair announced today that the 8th European Altair Technology Conference (ATC), planned for September 29th - October 1st, 2015 at the Cité des Sciences in Paris, France will be relocated to the "Cité de la Musique", due to a fire related, temporary shutdown of the originally planned conference facility until the middle of October. The new location is situated in the same area of Paris, La Villette and just a 10 minute walk from the original venue.

The planning of the conference continues as scheduled and all planned events/sessions listed in the agenda, including the exhibition, are expected to take place on the previously planned dates and times from September 29th throughout October 1st, 2015. As the main event location the Cité de la Musique will host keynote sessions, the exhibition, the social events and some of the breakout sessions as well as the conference's on site registration desk. In addition to that, further breakout sessions and technical seminars will take place at the Hotel Mercure La Villette, just across the street from Cité de la Musique and the Pavilion Paul Delouvrier, another venue in the vicinity.

“It was not easy to react to such a challenge only three weeks prior to the conference, but now we are very happy that we could find and announce a new suitable location in such a short time frame. I would like to thank our conference organizational team, who helped tremendously to make this happen,” said Dr. Detlef Schneider, Senior Vice President EMEA, Altair. “The new conference locations are equally well adapted to the needs of our conference and we are still within schedule for everything. The Cité de la Musique venue will guarantee an event to be remembered. This year’s conference will expose an even broader technology portfolio and deeper insight into our solutions through focused technical seminars, inspiring keynote sessions, symposiums, and end-user technical sessions. This agenda structure affords us the opportunity to dive even deeper into special subjects while still covering industry topics of client importance such as multi-disciplinary optimization, Model Based Development, design for 3D printing, lead time reduction, automotive concept design, and high frequency electromagnetics.”
